When I moved to Australia I learned that rabbits were not as adored as they are in The States, they are often seen as invasive pests. For that reason, there was a push around Easter time to replace the rabbit imagery with a native rabbit-like creature, the bilby. The bilby is just as adorable and hoppy with the added bonus of being a natural part of the Australian ecosystem. Celebrate this Easter with a true local, the bilby.
