Back in 2017 I was part of a group Photo of 465 women artists at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. The group was called “Now Be Here.” started in Los Angeles in 2016, it has grown into a community of artists throughout the United States that exhists to give visability to Women-identifying and Non-binary Artists, bringing equity to the art world. The group has grown and has launched a website, including an online directory. This site serves as a connection point with a community of artists, an archive of the photographs and events, and a resource for artists and art lovers. Have a look.

ME AND UOOUOO - Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, Locations throughout Melbourne and Geelong, VIc, Australia

I'm beyond excited to announce that I was chosen to be one of 100 artists taking part in Me and UooUoo: The Royal Children’s Hospital 150th Anniversary Art Trail!

One hundred UooUoo sculptures will be sprawled throughout streets, laneways and parks in Melbourne and Geelong to celebrate the 150th year and raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne! What a beautiful and fun way to celebrate the hospital that has been caring for our young community.

What's a UooUoo? It's an adorable creature designed by artist Alexander Knox that resembles a cross between a wombat and a dugong, of course.

my design, titled "I Carry You With Me", (nicknamed Carrie) was CONCEIVED as Australia was fighting the awful bushfires earlier in Dec/ Jan. The title references the responsibility each of us has to care for this world and the creatures we share it with.

Check out all of Carries UooUoo friends by following #meanduoouoo.

Creativity and colour will mark the 150th anniversary of The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) with the help of 100 Australian artists taking part in Me and Uo...

RACV MAGAZINE INTERVIEW

A month after moving to Melbourne I was interviewed about my first impressions of the city in Royal Auto Club Victoria magazine (RACV). It’s funny to look back on my first thoughts now.

I’ve grown to love this city even more and am constantly amazed at how beautiful Melbourne and the surrounding areas are. I love the fragrant and green landscape, quirky architecture, ever-changing murals, array of pocketed animals and the bird sounds. I must admit I was so very wrong about the magpies; their melody is beautiful. The crows on the other hand were the actual “sickly” sounding ones and now their call (and my mistaken attribution) makes me laugh every time.
